Three flatmates in Mexico City face uncertainties: Lucía who has a great job as an art director for TV commercials is abusing alcohol and cocaine. She risks losing her job, going to prison for assault, and she's woefully in love with a bullfighter who may be two-timing her. Carmen, an artist without income, can be manic - snorting lots of cocaine and hanging out with a gay man and a transvestite. What's her future? Hanna contemplates divorce from Abraham, a wealthy momma's boy, and she's disoriented by feelings of attraction to Sandra, a customer at her jewelry store. Can any of these poor little rich girls sort things out in a world of excess?

A policeman and his wife are the parents of eight children. They plan to add to their family when they hear the King will be the godfather on any ninth child born. The lawman spends his time discouraging others to have more than eight kids while he fines people for swearing at the King. A traveling show comes to town with a female singer who resembles the Virgin depicted in the stained glass of the village church. The men in town become enamored with the chanteuse but the policeman caves into pressure from jealous local women. An envoy of the King allows the woman to stay, and war breaks out before the situation can be settled and the couple's child becomes the godchild of the monarch.

Пронзительная Бразильская мелодрама по одноимённой книге, в которой описана история на основе реальных событий. Зезе всего 5, он родился в беднейшем районе трущоб, самостоятельно научился читать в этом возрасте и самая большая его мечто - стать "поэтом с галстуком-бабочкой". А пока по жизни одни проблемы - подарка на рождество он не увидел из-за отсутствия денег у родителей, с ним никто не желает играть и его единственный друг - апельсиновое дерево, растущее у него в саду. Как то на горизонте появляется городской миллионер, Зезе с ним подружился - он не мог знать к чему это может привести...

A book as unforgettable as this is difficult to find; what makes it all the more remarkable is that every word of it is true. Utterly moving and universally appealing, this book is worth its weight in diamonds. Zeze, a precocious five-year-old born to a very poor family in the slums of Brazil, taught himself to read at that tender age and wants to grow up to be `a poet with a bow tie'. His intelligence is only matched by his penchant for mischief, and Zeze's ingenious pranks, which includes making `snakes' out of stockings to frighten adults with, will make you chuckle out loud. Beneath his naughtiness, however, is a child with a heart of gold. Zeze cares for plants and animals and the suffering of other people. He helps out his family by shining shoes, is saddened by the death of the family hen that was slaughtered for soup, shares the stuffed cruller that his pitying teacher bought him with a destitute little black girl who no one else plays with, steals flowers from rich folks' gardens for his teacher and sings in the street to help a songbook salesman sell his wares. Poverty has taught young Zeze a lot, and when he cries upon seeing that he has received nothing for Christmas and has thus hurt his father's feelings, he shines shoes for a few pennies to buy his father a box of cigarettes with. The title of the book comes from a small, sweet-orange tree growing in the garden of Zeze's home. Feeling left out by his numerous brothers and sisters, the imaginative Zeze adopts the tree as a playmate. The plot grows when Zeze befriends the town millionaire, Portuga, and soon the two are inseparable. A tragedy occurs, and we follow the sorrowful and moving way Zeze deals with it. For the record, no book has ever made me cry so much. That this book is no longer in print is also a great tragedy. I strongly recommend searching secondhand bookshops and flea markets to see if anyone is foolish enough to give this gem away. His/her loss is your gain.

Медленный, почти медитативный фильм Вендерса, снятый на чёрно-белую плёнку ещё до наступления мировой известности режиссёра. В картине ничего не происходит - журналист немецкого издания Филипп мотается на арендованной машине по восточному побережью США и героически пытается выполнить редакционное задание - написать репортаж об американской природе, в руках у него его вечный спутник - фотоаппарат Полароид. которым он снимает что попало в надежде найти в маленьких квадратных картинках источник вдохновения, но всё безуспешно. Что то существенное случается только на обратном пути, когда у Филиппа кончаются деньги и он вынужден вернуться в Германию: в аэропорту он встечает Лизу с дочкой Алисой и в итоге на следующий день они остаются с Алисой вдвоём так как мамаша куда то сбежала оставив им невразумительную записку. Скитания в поисках мифической бабули, теперь уже по просторам Германии продолжаются...

Совершенно сюрный фильм супруги великого Гаспара Ноэ, мэтра артхауса, боснийки по происхождению Люсиль Хаджихалилович о фантастическом и мистическом, своеобразном рае (или аде?), в который попадают детские души после смерти. Тёмный лес, река, что то похожее на школу-интернат, в котором живут только девочки разных возрастов, все в белых одеждах. Очередной маленький гроб с новой послушницей - все собираются вокруг посмотреть на пополнение, затем ей показывают как тут принято жить. И так до определённого момента - после достижения некоторого возраста девочки бесследно изчезают, куда - не знает никто, здесь не принято задавать слишком много вопросов...

A man struggles to come to terms with a mystery that has haunted him throughout his adult life in this drama from Poland. In 1967, a 13-year-old boy named Dawid discovered a cache of explosives and began experimenting with them; one day, several of his friends saw Dawid wave to them shortly before a massive explosion went off near a railway tunnel, and no one ever saw the young man again. Thirty years later, one of Dawid's close friends, Pawel (Marek Kondrat), returns to Poland for the first time in 11 years to visit Juliane (Juliane Kohler), a woman he used to love. As Pawel returns home, he discovers his thoughts keeps drifting back to Dawid and what might have happened to him that day. Pawel keeps replaying the explosive incident in his mind, and goes so far as to track down Elka (Krystyna Janda), Dawid's girlfriend, who was with him moments before the explosion, though then as now she refuses to talk about what happened. Pawel is unable to determine for sure just what happened or how Dawid died -- or if he did in fact die at all. Weiser was nominated for the Golden Bear award at the 2001 Berlin Film Festival.

Неожиданно умирает его сестра и под его опекунство попадает совсем ещё молоденькая племянница вида ангельского, он её кормит супчиком из своих подопечных, собирает с могилок цветочки для салата, после чего небесное создание устойчиво и невесело блюёт. Со временем этот ангел проникается глубоким сочуствием к дядюшке и его увлечению и вот они уже вместе...
Necrophilia, incest, cannibalism, pedophilia and many others little perversions presents in this cult horror comedy which can be made only at France. And - of course - there will be a bunch of dancing zombies at the end. It is the story of a very ordinary man who just happens to be necrophile. (He is also like to eat cockroaches.) Problems begins when his pretty orphan cousin came to live with him... Great tribute to german expressionism with touch of very contemporary dark humor.

 Фильм снят по роману норвежского писателя Кнута Фалдбаккена «Летние каникулы», который называли лучшим романом о юности. Это лето для Петера стало особенным: проведённое в деревне, уже не в первый раз, в этот год стало началом познания своей сексуальной природы. С приятелем они разглядывают эротические журналы, находят подружку своего возраста а так же иногда купаются голышом с одной молодой мамашей-одиночкой, которая лет на 7 старше их. В общем жизнь бьёт ключом принося множество ежедневных открытий...
 Den sommeren jeg fylte 15 (The summer I turned 15) is the story Peter is telling the about a special summer, when he is invited over to summer holiday from bickering parents, to his aunt and uncle in th country. He's been there before, but this summer was quite one to remember.
The film is based upon the Youth novel by Knut Faldbakken, and is about a boy sensing his first real sexual feelings. Directed by Knut Andersen, it become a good and well told coming of age story. Peter has become in the age where he starts noticing sexual tension and what's going on around. Like noticing that his aunt and uncle also quarrels, when they think he is not noticing. H also discovers that his uncle is having an affair.
Together with a comrade the same age, he uses time looking at old erotic magazines. But the real important thing is when he meets up with a girl his same age and a 6-7 year older single mother which is not afraid to bathe naked, both giving him his first real sexual feelings and sexual experiences. His first real kiss before I goes on...
There"s also some subtle dramatic sequences here, but the film can be view by anyone above grown enough to understand the sexual tension, but teenagers will appreciate it most. Well played by all actors, and a charming story, but it feels quite dated today.

15-летний Ким — обычный подросток, предоставленный по большей части сам себе. Однажды Ким вместе с незнакомой ему сверстницей попадает в заложники при ограблении банка, но подружившись с предводителем грабителей Киму со своей новой знакомой удается сбежать от них. Поселившись на какое-то время в пустующем доме подростки влюбляются друг в друга...

Kim (Karl Wagner) is an attractive and well-liked 15-year-old Danish boy with a rather ordinary life. He likes to drink beer and party with his friends. School is a bore. His parents are divorced and his mother doesn't make much money. She nags at him, frustrated that he wants to go out all the time, and that he doesn't apply himself or take responsibility. Suddenly Kim finds himself taken hostage by bank robbers, along with Marianne (Marianne Berg), who's also 15. They find themselves out in the country, hiding from the police, making love and meeting unusual people with unconventional points of view. What will happen to the young lovers' new romance when the adventure is over and they have to return to their real lives?
